I'll add some decent photos and information about the staff just as soon as they stop making stupid faces whenever I snap the picture.

Sorry for the delay - but really you're not missing much!

If you're REALLY interested in what they look like and what they like to do, come and visit us out at the site. 525 Ngongotaha Road, Rotorua! Just down the road from Skyline Syrides!

WHAT IS THE OGO?

The OGO is a 3 metre (11 foot) transparent sphere lovingly constructed from over 100 square metres (300 square feet) of plastic, more than 1,000 little plastic anchors, about 600 multi-coloured strings and endless hours of welding, glueing and tieing combined with sweat, tears and billions of teensy little kisses to make a beautiful big ball that you can jump inside and roll down a hill.

OGO ROTORUA

OGO Rotorua is our very own play-paddock where we spend our days rolling down our purpose built 250 metre long tracks in our OGOs.

If you are VERY lucky and ask VERY nicely, you may be able to persuade our staff to stop playing in the OGOs briefly and allow you to have a turn.

BEST OGO-JUMP!

At the end of your OGO ride, we capture your excitement at having survived your OGO experience with an OGO-jump for joy.

Every now and again, someone does something SO cool, we just have to share it with the rest of you. Check this dude out!

OGO the KIWI

Our friends and neighbours at the KIWI ENCOUNTER at Rainbow Springs hatch kiwis in their nursery, raise them in their crèche and release them back into the wild once they are big and mean enough to protect themselves from predators.

On OGO Rotorua's opening day, this little fella was born and named OGO KIWI.

We already love him with all our hearts and wish him well when he is released into the wild. If you should see him skulking under a fallen punga log somewhere, say hi from us!

H2OGO HILL RUNDOWN CHALLENGE AND PRIZE

Are you as light on your feet as a butterfly? Do you have the coordination of a panther ... the stamina of a dung-beetle ... the sheer tenacity of a Tasmanian devil?

If so, you may be interested in our little challenge ...

If you can manage this and you don't slip over from the time you leave the top launch gate until you reach the marked zone at the bottom, you will receive:

  • A minimum of $250 in prize money (each failed attempt will add another $2 to the jackpot)

  • The praise and accolades of your peers
